Nursing Naturally Breastfeeding Tea is a pleasant blend of herbs traditionally used by breastfeeding mothers to increase breastmilk supply, support lactation and ease digestion for both mother and baby. The tea includes Fenugreek, a herb which has been traditionally used by breastfeeding mothers to promote lactation and increase breastmilk supply. This is one of the more commonly used galactagogues (milk stimulants) for nursing mothers experiencing low milk supply issues. Lemon Verbana Leaves give it a refreshing and pleasant taste. Naturally caffeine free.
Made using naturopathic verified ingredients and formulation. Vacuum sealed to ensure freshness. Loose teas can be easily prepared using a one cup Tea Infuser.
100g loose tea (approx 50 serves per pack).
Active Ingredients:
100% organic Fenugreek Seed, Anise Seed, Fennel Seed, Caraway Seed and Lemon Verbena Leaves.
Use only as directed. Always read the label. If symptoms persist please see your healthcare professional.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should always seek the advice of their healthcare professional before taking herbal supplements and remedies. Fenugreek should not be consumed if you have an allergy to peanuts.
General Information about Fenugreek:
The effect of Fenugreek on milk production is generally noticable within 72 hours (although it may take longer for some). An unusual side effect of taking fenugreek is you may notice you smell very sweet – just like maple syrup. This is often an indicator that you’re taking the correct dose as your sweat and urine begin to smell like maple syrup. Most mothers have found that the herb can be discontinued once milk production is stimulated to an appropriate level. Adequate production is usually maintained as long as sufficient breast stimulation and emptying continues.

I have used other nursing teas before but have found them to be bitter and hard to drink. A friend told me about this one and so I bought it start using after baby #3 as have ongoing problems with my milk supply, i.e. lack of it. So far so good!
