High performance single electric pump with 2 Phase Expression. For daily, frequent or occasional use.
The Medela Swing Breast Pump is a single electric breast pump that uses breakthrough 2 Phase Expression for maximum milk flow. Small, lightweight and portable, the Swing is ideal for mums who need to express frequently, at home or on the go. Easy to use, assemble and clean. Winner of multiple awards including the Medical Design Excellence Award, the only awards program devoted exclusively to recognising advances in the design of medical products. Designed with 2-Phase Expression technology for maximum milk flow – a dual pumping pattern that comes closer than ever to the way a baby naturally breastfeeds. The first phase, called the stimulation phase, mimics a baby’s initial rapid, shallow sucking that encourages fast let-down. The second phase, the expression phase, simulates a baby’s more relaxed, deeper sucking that promotes efficient milk removal.
Included:
1 x Motor, 1 x AC Power Adapter, 1 x Tubing, 1 x Personal Fit Breastshield, 1 x 2 Component Connector, 1 x Breast Milk Bottle – 150ml, 1 x Solid Storage Lid, 1 x Bottle Stand, 1 x Valve, 2 x Membrane, 1 x Drawstring Storage Bag, 1 x Neck Strap, 1 x Instruction Manual, 1 x Calma Solitaire Teat.

My review, is very much a story about my experience. It all started with my first child, i was breastfeeding fine but wanted to express. So i went and bought a different brand electric pump. After hours of time attatched to a pump and only 10ml expressed i decided to give up expressing for good. Then my second baby came along and a friend heard that i had given up pumping and bought me my first medela (a mini electric double.) I was amazed. In 3 expressing sessions over 24 hours i had produced 150ml, in less time then i did with the other. I loved it. Time passed and i had kept expressing and my 3rd baby came along. I had to go away for a day for exams so used my double electric to fill the bottles my baby would need. It did great. I managed 150-200ml per day in one hour hour session. After my day away however my baby would not latch to my breast again. It was a terrible feeling. What made it even worse was that i was not able to express the quantities i needed for her. SO i came onto nursing angel website and bought a swing after people raving about them to me. Now dont get me wrong, its been a rocky road but i am making double the milk i was before and although its not enough to cover all feeds, i am getting there a bit more day by day. I am now a convert and can not rave about medela or my swing more. If you are searching for a pump for full time expressing - or expressing on the go. You would be mad to pass this offer over!

With my first bub I used an Avent Isis manual pump, and a Medela Symphony (hospital grade) and I wanted to upgade my manual pump for my second bub. The swing leaves them in the dust (yes even the Symphony, for some reason the Symphony took much longer). It's amazing, comfortable, fast and efficient. Easy to use. I can express 100mL in 10 minutes flat. The best part (after dealing with the manual pump) is it's SO EASY to clean. I use it with the Ameda Store n Pour bags and adaptor and it's all so easy. I should have upgraded to this with my first bub.

After having my second child I purchased the Medela Swing, I stuggled with a manual pump with my first child and wished I had purchased this earlier. I found it easy to use and also the "pump and save bags" were excellent.
If you are reading this and are trying to decide on a pump, go with this one, you won't regret it.

I also bought the hands free nursing bra and it has revolutionized my day. Prior to this pump and bra, I was stuck on the couch either feeding bubs, or pumping using a rented old brick of a pump which needed to be plugged in.
Now, I am able to continue with my day, play with bubs, make lunch or myself etc. I'm no longer stuck on the couch. The pump itself is fairly quiet. Its small. I usually tuck the pump into the top of the hands free pumping bra.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!

After using another top pump on the market I decided to try the Medela Swing- and it is easily the best purchase I have made- it is so quiet and gentle and I don't feel like a milking cow- it is stylish enough to be seen poking out of my nappy bag and easy enough to pump anywhere- and many a time have I needed to pump on a long drive. The attachments are easy to handle and clean and I am so happy to have invested in a pump that I'm happy to use everyday.

I was having trouble with engorgement when my baby feed less frequently overnight, with this pump I could quickly express off the extra relieving the discomfort. Really like how simple it is to use with different levels of suction and the different modes. Also easy to clean, not many parts to wash/ sterilize.

i have never used a breast pump before and wanted to use one when going back to work. did some ground work and found this pump was highly recommended.Called up customer care nd they were very prompt in delivering the product on time.i read the instructions 1 night and started pumping the next day without any difficulties. My husband and myself were very excited on seeing the milk come without much discomfort. Many had scared me saying pumping is painful. Not this one! and its very efficient in getting milk quite fast.

I purchased the medela swing to pump daily at first to build up my supply then for occasional use. It is great, easy to use, comfortable, quiet and lightweight. It's also very easy to clean. My order arrived very quickly too! Thanks nursing angel!

I bought this breastpump after using a manual pump and realising that a manual pump was just taking too long. I was having trouble with my milk supply and this helped me keep it up and it was so fast to use. Only 15 mins and I had plenty for a feed for my hungry bub.
I loved the 2 phase function as it helped stimulate milk production quickly. It was also fairly quiet so I never felt uncomfortable using it. I have recommended this breast pump to all of my friends that are considering buying a pump as it really was a breeze to use. And you can get most parts if needed in an emergency in a pharmacy close by. Very handy.

This is hands down the best pump I have used (& I have tried quite a few both manual & electric). The Swing is easy to use & quiet, which is great for pumping at work; let down stage helps to get the milk flowing; the soft breast cup is very comfortable & doesn't squeeze or leave marks on the breast; being able to adjust the strength of suction is a good feature to customise for your flow level; batteries last a lot longer than I would expect for this type of thing; the bottle stand is very handy, as the bottle with pump head attached tends to fall over without it and the pump & a couple of small bottles fit easily into the carry pouch, making it super portable & compact.
The only thing I don't like is the hard tubing that comes with the pump - it is too short, its hard to get the 'kinks' out & is too stiff, prone to falling out of the pump & unit. Medela sells a soft tubing separately, and this is both longer & more pliable, and doesn't fall out.
