The Medela SpecialNeeds Feeder (previously known as the Haberman Feeder) is designed for feeding babies with facial or oral problems that hamper their ability to maintain adequate suction for feeding (eg cleft lip or palate, weak babies or babies with Down's syndrome or other neurological difficulties).
Even with the gentlest suckling, the baby can be fed breastmilk, satisfying his natural suckling needs even though his suckling is too weak for breastfeeding. By squeezing the teat you can support the flow of breastmilk, so that it's easier for your baby to drink. The one-way valve membrane between bottle and teat means no air can enter the teat. In addition to this, the SpecialNeeds Feeder has a slit-valve which enables you to regulate the flow of breastmilk, by simply changing the position of the teat in your baby's mouth. Even if your baby only suckles gently, he is able to activate the breastmilk flow.
Recommended for use under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
1 per pack. Includes 2 SpecialNeeds teats.

I have tried every bottle, teet and formula there is trying to get my baby to take a bottle. This was recommeded to me by a friend and worked first time!!! It is worth every cent. My baby does not have any special needs but this is the only bottle he will take. Highly recommended to anyone who has a baby that will not take a bottle.
