The Medela SoftFit Breastshield is soft silicone breastshield designed to comfortably massage the breast and areola while pumping. It imitates a baby's sucking action on the breast and helps to encourage milk flow. For maximum comfort. 24mm size.

Nursing Angel Tips:

  • To use, insert the Soft Fit into your Medela breast pump's existing connector (Medela 2 Component Connector or Medela PersonalFit Connector).
  • For pumps that come with a one piece breastshield with in-built connector (such as the Medela Mini Electric Breast Pump and some hospital grade pump sets for the Symphony & Lactina), you will need to purchase the Medela PersonalFit Connector in order to use the Soft Fit.
  • The Soft Fit is a delicate item and should be handwashed only. Cleaning or sterilising by any other method may result in damage and discolouration.

    The soft fit shields are so much more comfortable for me than hard plastic.

    After long-term frequent use they will warp slightly and discolour a bit, so if you are using them regularly like I am it's best to stock up on a replacement set when they are on sale!

    I much prefer the soft to 'personal' fit, it is much more comfortable & effective at pumping. I do find however that it loses its shape over time, but this has never changed its effectiveness for me. I just got a new one to use with bub#2 because the old one looked all squishy - but it was purely a decision based on aesthetics!

    Such a shame that they are discontinuing the soft fit, I will definitely stock up before they disappear.

  4. Soft Fit is much better than Personal Fit

    I got both types of breast shields with my Medela pump (Swing model) but have found the Soft Fit one is much better for me than the other one. I think it is more comfortable and I get more milk expressed than with the Personal Fit one.

    Yippee have finally found the SoftFit. Mine is a warped after mths of constant use, still can use it if holding very firm. So I am stocking up on them now.
