It's about time someone created a tool to help new parents remember the basic details of baby care. Now someone has, and it continues to win awards.
The ITZBEEN Baby Care Timer was invented by a new mum and dad who found themselves sleep-deprived and needing help to remember baby care details like when their baby last ate or slept. They tried charts and journals, but thought there had to be a better way. So they invented one. And so, ITZBEEN was born.
ITZBEEN has four timers that count up with the touch of a button. The four timers display how long it’s been since changing, feeding, sleeping or awake, and whatever you like (medications etc). With alarms for ‘next due’ and a slide button to keep track of which side you breastfed from last, ITZBEEN is a new parent must-have, and assists both parents and carers in developing routines.

I was given one of these before my daughter was born and wasn't sure that I'd need to use it...by the end of the first week at home with no more than 1 hour uninterrupted sleep I was soooo glad that something other than my now non functional brain was keeping track of when I last fed/changed a nappy etc!! The nightlight function was also a bonus for night feeds. Great device and easy to transport with you as you go out and about.

I got my pink Itzbeen when my daughter was three months old, and boy did I wish I'd had it from her birth!
So handy and TOUGH! Both myself and my daughter have dropped it so many times, most of the time onto tiles, and it's still going strong with no damage. It's smooth and rounded, so no worries if your baby gets a hold of it.
I use every feature on the Itzbeen, which surprised me. It's a well thought-out little device.
My husband and I find ourselves much more relaxed and no longer stressing over watching the clock to make sure our daughter isn't too hungry/wet/tired. When we first got the Itzbeen we found ourselves going "She looks like she needs a nappy, can she be wet already?" Looking at the Itzbeen we find it's been an hour longer than we thought since we'd changed it!
I use the torch feature about three times every night (for changing sides to feed my daughter), and the timer countdown (goes up to 24hrs).
The instructions can be a little unclear, so if you want to turn off a button (rather than resetting the timer) press and hold for 4 seconds.
My husband and I like our Itzbeen so much we buy it for every expecting parent's we know!

Thank you for this; my husband bought this for me to help keep track of breastfeeding & bottle feeding as I am combining both. It has turned out to be one of the most handy things! Kayla
