The Babywearing Support Belt makes it easier to carry heavier babies and toddlers when using a Mei Tai baby carrier. It is compatible with the Catbird Baby Pikkolo and most other brand Mei Tais. You simply thread your carrier through the belt and leave on for a more traditional padded SSC-style waistband (note: this is a support belt and must be used in conjunction with the carrier). The belt adds firm padded support to lift baby’s weight from your shoulders and redistribute to your hips. Excellent comfort when carrying heavier babies and toddlers as they reach 9-12kg+. Patent-pending design.
Included: 1 x Support Belt. Carrier not included.

After my Babyhawk MT started digging in (when my daughter reached 7kg) I bought myself a Babywearing Support Belt (made by CatBirdBaby).
The Support Belt definitely helped a lot while she was on my back, but not much on my front, however my husband found the opposite!
The belt only 'bends' one way, so my reversable MT only showed one side, so I had to un-feed it from the Belt, and put it back through, if I wanted to see the other side.
Untimately when my daughter got to 9kg (two more than when I first started using the belt) I bought a Boba and retired my Babyhawk, purely for comfort - the Boba has a wide padded waist/belt.
So the Babywearing Support Belt was really good, but untimately can't fully make up for an unpadded waist on a carrier.
