The Ameda Breast Shell System is a complete nipple care system for nipples that are sore, sensitive, flat or inverted. The breast shells can be worn in preparation for a feeding or after a feeding inside your bra to protect sore or irritated nipples. The shells have air holes that allow air to circulate while still protecting your nipple, and they can also be worn to draw out flat or inverted nipples during pregnancy and about a half hour before a feeding. Cotton roll inserts (included) line the bottom of the breast shell to absorb any breastmilk leakage, while the adhesive backed cotton pads (included) provide a comfortable layer between the shell and breast to promote a gentler healing process.
